4 Jan 2019

Now January has hit, the Quality Street have all been eaten and everyone has over indulged in sequins, merriment and listening to bad Christmas tunes.

Which emails made a lasting mark during the festive time? 1.

Spotify SL: Your 2018 in music: find out how you listened Chosen for: Personalised content.

Spotify couldn't be missed in this round up as its simple design, subtle animation and killer content made tailored marketing the reality.

It would have been great to pull in more personalised content like 'most listened' and introduce some comparisons to other users, they have some of this hidden post click which is a shame.

2. Disney SL:

Sorry, we sent you the wrong date for Mary Poppins Returns! Chosen for:

Animation.

The subtle tweaks within this email really bring it to life from the sparkles to umbrella's moving in a very Mary Poppins type way - perfectly on brand and not detracting from the key message.

On-brand messaging .

The style, subtlety and overall tone reeks of Mary Poppins from every element.

The fact this is an apology also comes across clearly and stylishly.

Finally the collection of content really works, they seamlessly bring movie launch to welly content together and it works! 3.

Karen Millen SL:

Swap your LBD for THIS show-stopper Chosen for:

Mobile design.

This KM email has some good mobile content from their use of white space, a nice clean layout, clickable buttons/links and good use of the footer to clearly pull out popular content and social channels.

Ratings.

Nice use of customer content and ratings to add additional product insight and to help drive conversions.

4. Nando's SL: Pour your heart out this Christmas... Chosen for: Concept. This email has animated gravy...

animated gravy! For this without even seeing the rest of the email makes it one of our favourites in December.

How can you not love it?! Quirky Christmas.

With the abundance of red and festive themes everywhere Nandos still had a hint of Christmas but done their way which was a light relief in the Christmas mayhem.

5. Fitbit SL:

Impress friends & fam with these winning gifts Chosen for:

Design .

This email has a lovely flow from the start, the elements from the hero image continue down the email creating a natural scroll effect.

Content.

Lower down the product comparisons are clear, concise and eye-catching pulling out key elements only.
