This month we welcomed Jen to the ActionRocket family, upon chatting about all things email we asked her to uncover what was hiding in her inbox.

We were welcomed with an array of exciting brands, so thought it would only be fair to ask her to share them with you all for this months round-up.

Enjoy! 1.  MOB SL: Your Exclusive Vegan MOB Drop.. Chosen for: Appreciation.

One of the most important things brands could have done this past year is show off their human side.

So it’s amazing to see MOB sending out recognition to their interns - employees who are often seen as “easily replaceable” but MOB are proving that they’re vital to the success of the businesses, and I for one am listening! Illustration.

The simplistic and bold illustrations compliments the use of imagery and colour blocking theme.

2. Everlane SL: Denim That Just Fits Chosen for: Customers in centre stage.

I love how Everlane put such a focus on customer reviews and feature them occasionally in their emails, a subtle reminder that they have their customers in mind when making every decision.

Sustainability.

It’s become a bit of a buzz word (for good reason) but Everlane have a great way of presenting their ethical and sustainable ethos.

In this email they’re focusing on denim so take the opportunity to tell us a bit about what happens behind the scenes.

3. Aesop SL:

Comforting cleansers for cooler climes Chosen for:

Animation.

The minimalist hero illustration is brought to life through animation (it is soothing too which fits the brand nicely).

Quotes.

A theme across all Aesop emails are the quotes in the footer which are put across in the least cliche way possible yet always very inspirational.

4. Acne Studios SL: Graphical knitwear Chosen for: Large bold imagery.

Acne Studios are a brand who really believe in “a picture says a thousand words” letting their products speak for themselves.

The half switch gif almost reminds me of a book I had as a kid where you could mix and match outfits (hoping everyone knows what I mean for this one!) 5.

Urth SL:

How to make your digital photos look like film Chosen for:

Imagery.

Not sure if it’s just because we’ve all been locked indoors for the best part of a year, but it was so refreshing to see this in my inbox as a reminder that the Earth is still thriving and we’re still lucky to be amongst it.

Colour blocking.

For a rather long email, I really enjoyed the subtle colour blocking for separation which is so clean and fits the “conscious design” Urth thrive for.

However, not such a Dark Mode friendly email and a little image heavy (not sure it was essential that their CTAs were vertical).

6. Veja SL: Spreading good vibes Messaging.

Veja often try to use their voice for good and this minimalistic email does just that.

A lack of CTA, in my opinion, works really well here as it suggests the email wasn’t about getting a sale but to try and make their customers feel more positive on Blue Monday.

Also, I appreciated the Brexit update in the footer of the email just to keep us informed that we won’t get stung on import charges buying from them! Any you’ve loved that we’ve missed? Let us know on Instagram or Twitter .
