It’s the second month of Spring and April is Apriling. Of course there was Fool’s Day and compulsory rain showers, then the sun disappeared with the Great North American solar eclipse and came back out blazing (albeit briefly). With it, our inboxes filled up with all sorts of gems. Here’s our favourite emails for the month, from ethical beauty to elevated butter, and everything in between. Take a look.
1. Ancient + Brave
SL: Embracing positive ageing 🖤
Chosen for: Content
Brands worshipping the fountain of youth is getting real tired. So, it’s a treat to see this beaut of an email encouraging us to look at ageing another way. The single-focus positivity and simple, clean design make sure we get the message, and it’s all backed up with a delicious quote from the nutritionist. Still in doubt about who’s the fairest of them all? Check out how Ancient + Brave’s brand ethics run all the way through to the logos in the footer.
2. P&Co
SL: Just Dropped! Our pre-summer collection is here
Chosen for: Design
Is that sand in my eye or some of the sunniest nostalgic styling I’ve ever seen? P&Co is all about purposeful living, creating clothing with a Vintage Americana aesthetic that stands the test of time. To launch their Pre-Summer collection ‘Somewhere New’ they’re driving through the dusty mountain roads of Morocco. The gorgeous use of grainy lifestyle photography is getting us all ready for warmer weather. Road trip anyone?
3. All Things Butter
SL: A buttery offer just for you 🧈
Chosen for: Content
Vegans and cholesterol-conscious crew, feel free to skip this one. But, All Things Butter aren’t just churning out offer emails, they’re adding attention-grabbing animations, charming copy, and a cheeky way of displaying their customer quotes to the mix. Great tactics when readers only have 24 hours to make use of the code. Spread the word.
4. amie
SL: the forecast calls for rosé ☀️
Chosen for: Strategy
Remember that one weekend where we thought we could put our Winter clothes away for the year? Well, London-based wine brand Amie handled it perfectly. They saw the weather forecast, and quickly acknowledging their audience's behaviour, sent out this excellent example of reactive marketing. It hit inboxes a few days ahead of the sunshine, promising amie rosé would arrive in time for the weekend. Cheers to that.
5. Not on the High Street
SL: Planning a wedding?
Chosen for: Content
It’s the start of wedding season and Not on the High Street have picked a theme. You already know it’s the place to go to grab a gift for the happy couple, but this email is a wedding planners’ dream. It shows how NotHS sellers can help with every element that goes into making the big day the best it can be. They had me at the inspo GIF.
