Problem

With the launch of BBC Earth's highly anticipated Planet Earth III, the goal was to craft a standout email that would captivate and engage a global audience. The aim was to create an immersive experience that not only raised awareness of the new series but also built a stronger connection with the viewers.

Strategy

Our strategy aimed to create an engaging email experience for Planet Earth III by integrating interactive elements and stunning imagery. Building on our Blue Planet II success, we designed an email that highlighted the series' educational and visual appeal with features like ‘click to reveal’ and ‘choose your habitat’. We ensured compatibility across major email clients, implemented progressive features, and refined the email through extensive testing, collaborating closely with BBC Studios to deliver a high-quality, interactive experience.


Results

The campaign achieved outstanding results, including a 52% increase in subscribers compared to the previous Green Planet email in 2022. The ‘Where to watch’ button saw the highest engagement, with 58% of clicks, while an additional 41% increase in clicks was generated by the supplementary ‘Watch the trailer’ CTA.
