Problem

As an ongoing client of ours, Caffè Nero often returns to us with new and exciting ideas for their innovative and fun campaigns. With the launch of their mobile loyalty and payment app, they wanted to encourage a more regular purchase pattern for existing customers, and to attract new ones. This app was a digital version of their much-loved paper loyalty card.

Strategy

Our challenge was to always push users towards their app. One way we did this was by creating a solus competition email. The email was a replica of the ‘winning wheel’ featured within the app, and included information on how to win, pushing the recipients into the app journey.Caffè Nero are a brand who use external factors such as the weather and different seasons, to determine their email content. Also offering different menus throughout the year, so we are always challenged to present their new products in an exciting way to their customers.
