Discover how Gymshark’s 66-day digital fitness event leveraged a seamless in-app messaging strategy to drive engagement, form new habits, and boost community involvement.

Problem

Gymshark aimed to inspire users with a 66-day digital fitness event, focusing on long-term app engagement and habit formation. They needed to identify participants, encourage their involvement, and integrate motivational content and daily workouts within the app.

Strategy

We created a custom in-app message for Gymshark using a JavaScript bridge to track user data and segment the audience in Braze. The messages were designed to blend with the app’s environment, ensuring a seamless user experience. By selecting brand-consistent assets and collaborating with Braze, we launched the messages on both iOS and Android, promoting user engagement and a sense of community.


Results

The campaign utilized a multichannel approach to maximize exposure, with the in-app messaging driving substantial engagement. The results were impressive:

  • 12,000 participants from the app

  • 1 in 3 users clicked the ‘Try me’ CTA

  • 100k+ impressions

This targeted strategy not only engaged users effectively but also contributed to the campaign’s success by seamlessly integrating with Gymshark’s app environment.
