Problem

We work closely with the team at Nescafé Dolce Gusto (NDG) to drive their CRM by streamlining their email process and pushing their creativity. They wanted to revolutionise their email programme and improve team efficiencies. Understanding an external resource would be best for this, they were keen to work with a specialised email agency.

The team needed support throughout many touch points of their email programme. So we were bought on board to offer email expertise from including idea generation, copywriting, design, coding, to reporting.

Strategy

In order for us to really understand the brand, we are constantly involved with cross-agency briefings. This has continued throughout our relationship and is a great way for us to truly understand their challenges and evolving goals.

Getting a clear idea of the types of emails NDG wanted to send was the first step. By understanding the messaging and themes required we could then construct a clear plan of action to support their CRM team. We were able to dig a little deeper into the brand and identify how they wanted to speak to their customers. 

We now offer NDG on-going support from planning their BAU campaigns, to creating bespoke solus emails. We give end-to-end project guidance, enabling NDG to understand which emails offer the best value to their customers.

Our strategists, designers and coders all work within one team. This allows us to constantly share brand knowledge and campaign findings. We are able to plan campaigns together and assess the successes and improvements needed for future campaigns.

Results

We have helped NDG to identify the types of emails they should be sending. Planning the content and themes within them, and who they should be being sent to. Our strategists work closely with their CRM team to plan the emails, then our designers and coders bring these email creatives to life.Our aim was to push the brand and take Dolce Gusto’s emails to the next level. By pushing the creative we were able to help the team to get the most out of the email channel, surprising and delighting their customers.We were able to streamline NDG's whole email process, helping to reduce team workload. This gave them the ability to give more attention to their automated programmes. With more time allocated to these campaigns the team had the ability to increase their value to subscribers.
